David Williams is Professor of African and African American Studies and Sociology at the University of Michigan, where he also received his Doctorate in Sociology in 1985. He has also taught at Yale and Harvard. Dr. Williams has extensively researched ethnicity and social inequality issues, and is one of the Top Ten Most Cited researchers of social sciences from 1994-2004.
